The Consulate General of the Russian Federation is checking information about the crash of Titov’s yacht

The Russian Consulate General in Edinburgh is checking information about the alleged crash of the yacht of Russian navigator Roman Titov off the coast of Scotland, reported REN TV Secretary of the consulate Ansel Mukhametov. According to him, so far there have been no notifications about this fact from local authorities.

“According to information from the Scottish authorities, they actually discovered the wreckage of an unknown yacht, but they cannot confirm the death of the Russian traveler.”said a representative of the Russian Consulate General in Edinburgh.

He also added that the Russian side continues to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Roman Titov’s relatives did not contact the Consulate General, Mukhametov indicated.

Let us remind you that the son of the navigator and single sculler Roman Titov, Egor, told REN TV, that his father stopped communicating in mid-December, after he announced that he was going on a trip. Presumably, Titov’s yacht crashed off the coast of Scotland.

According to the interlocutor REN TVnow the relatives of the sailor are trying to contact the Scottish Water Police to find out about the work to find the traveler.
