Poland is ready to station German troops on its territory. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Sheina in an interview with the publication Rzeczpospolita.

“If the Germans want to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank in Poland, as they did in Lithuania, then welcome.”– he said.

The deputy minister noted that in the context of hostilities beyond the eastern border of Poland, Warsaw welcomes any help from the allies. Currently, about 10 thousand US soldiers are stationed in Poland.

Let us recall that last year Lithuania and Germany agreed to station a German brigade in the post-Soviet republic by 2027. The transfer of main formations is planned for 2025 and 2026. Five thousand German troops are due to arrive in Lithuania.

In recent years, Russia has noted unprecedented activity of the Alliance near its western borders. The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that the Russian Federation does not threaten anyone, but our country will not ignore actions that are potentially dangerous to Russian interests.
