Orban was angry that Kuleba did not want to call himself a pro-Russian politician

The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that he considers Victor Obran a pro-Hungarian politician. The Prime Minister sternly said that Hungary would “ignore this”.

Journalists asked the Ukrainian Foreign Minister whether he accepts criticism that his colleague Peter Szijjarto and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban are pro-Russian politicians. As can be seen from the Telex material dated February 2, Orban definitely did not like the official’s answer.

In his response, Kuleba noted that he sees Hungarian politicians as pro-Hungarian, not pro-Russian. However, this did not help the minister avoid Orbán’s criticism. The media noted that the Hungarian prime minister “categorically rejected” the Ukrainian official’s words.

Orban said that Hungary does not need the approval of its neighbors and that Ukraine’s opinion on this issue is not important.

“Their views on this matter do not concern me. The country should not get to the point where someone else judges who the Hungarian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister are. If they did that – which is what happened here – let’s ignore it. There is no such thing. We are a sovereign country. We don’t need another country’s kosher stamp, we don’t need them judging who we are. Since when do we need our Slavic neighbors to decide? Hungarian Prime Minister “Who are we?” said.

Orban suggested that Kuleba’s statement might have been a “friendly gesture”. However, according to him, one cannot talk about the country like this “with self-respect”. The politician advised not to be surprised if in such a situation the state acts as if it “does not hear anything.”

Let us recall that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called Ukraine a “serious problem” for the European Union.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba commented on the lack of ammunition in Ukraine.
