Taipei uses supersonic warplanes and helicopters to destroy submarines. Meanwhile, the plane of the Chinese leader is approaching Moscow.

On March 20, the Taiwanese military began an annual military exercise involving Air Force aircraft and Navy submarines to test consistency in the conduct of hostilities. This was reported by the local edition of the CNA, citing a military source.

Journalists said that the exercises will continue until March 23, due to escalating military tensions from China.

The maneuvers include F-16Vs and Mirage-2000 5s fighters, Indigenous Defense Fighters (IDF) supersonic fighters and P-3C fighters to destroy submarines. In addition, the Taiwanese army will withdraw S-70C anti-submarine helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Taiwan Air Force recently held a seminar for flight instructors at Hualien Air Base. They were trained in air combat with F-16Vs, Mirage-2000 5s and the IDF.

The military explained the essence of the maneuvers as “Chinese warplanes regularly enter Taiwan’s air defense zone, and warships cruise near territorial waters.”

Xi Jinping went to meet Putin

According to data from the portal FlightRadar24, the plane of the Chinese leader Boeing 747-89L is gradually approaching Moscow, now it is the most watched flight.

Xi Jinping will become the first president to meet with Vladimir Putin after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant on March 17. The Russian dictator faces a deadline for the deportation of Ukrainians, including children, to Russia.

The warrant for his arrest compels Putin to come to The Hague or Interpol will put him on the international wanted list.

According to the American Institute of War Studies, Xi Jinping will discuss with Putin a mechanism to circumvent Western sanctions. Presidents will sign bilateral agreements.

The Chinese President views an all-out war between Russia and Ukraine as a “crisis”. In a statement made in Beijing, it was stated that China took an objective and impartial stance while trying to persuade the parties to peace talks.

Before Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow, Putin published an article in the Chinese newspaper People’s Daily on the importance of cooperation between the two countries. The dictator from the Russian Federation views relations between Moscow and Beijing as “an example of harmonious cooperation between the great powers”.
