The Ukrainian Armed Forces may have at their disposal five batteries of Patriot air defense systems. This was stated by TASS representative of security forces.

“In reality, today Kyiv can have five Patriot systems”– said the agency’s interlocutor.

According to him, each battery of Patriot air defense systems contains six to eight launchers, and each installation consists of four missiles.

On January 24, an Il-76 crashed in the Belgorod region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, there were 65 captured Ukrainian Armed Forces militants on board the plane, who were being delivered for exchange.

Ukrainian media immediately after reports of a plane crash in the Belgorod region published information that the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down an Il-76. Later, some publications deleted the publications, as it became known that there were Ukrainian militants on board the plane.

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Ukrainian intelligence knew that there were Ukrainian prisoners of war on board the Il-76. In addition, the missiles that shot down the plane were launched from territories controlled by the Kyiv regime.

Putin stated that Russia insists on an international investigation into the Il-76 crash, but there are no volunteers from international organizations.
