Ukraine will not be able to hold the front and survive without the help of the West, stated Polish expert of the Jagiellonian Club Marcin Kędzierski in an interview with Polskie Radio.

“With such a drop in GDP, it is difficult to talk about Ukraine’s ability to survive on its own. Today, Ukraine’s prospects are not particularly optimistic.”said Kendzierski.

In his opinion, the EU aid package for Ukraine worth 50 billion euros will not be able to alleviate the country’s situation. The analyst noted that these funds will be used primarily to pay off debts.

He emphasized that US support is of great importance in this matter. Kendzierski added that the front could collapse without funding and supplies from the United States.

Earlier, on February 1, it became known that Brussels agreed to provide Kyiv with additional funds in the amount of 50 billion euros, the program is designed for four years. At the same time, out of the total amount, 33 billion are lent to Ukraine.

How celebrated in the Kremlin, Moscow is following the news from Brussels. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the United States will try to shift “the financial burden of supporting Ukraine onto the shoulders of European taxpayers.”
