Zakharova: The West wants to shake up the situation inside the Russian Federation during the elections

The West views the presidential elections in the Russian Federation as an opportunity to shake up the situation within the country. This opinion was expressed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

According to her, Western countries want to do this in order to pragmatically formulate their guidelines in the Russian space and implement them.

“The ultimate goal is resources: natural, human. In general, all resources“, the diplomat emphasized at a meeting of the Federation Council commission on protecting state sovereignty and preventing interference in the internal affairs of Russia.

In this regard, Zakharova recalled the state of crisis in which the Western economy is located.

As the diplomat noted, the United States and its satellites view elections in a country as a “window of opportunity.” So, according to her, they continue to invest both financial and technological capabilities to strengthen in this area.

Previously, Zakharova stated that Russian diplomats are doing everything to safely conduct presidential elections in foreign polling stations. According to her, security itself for Russians in unfriendly countries has noticeably decreased recently.
