Media: NATO threatens to take a desperate step due to the collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

NATO is threatening to send troops to Ukraine due to the collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Asia Times writes about this.

The publication notes that the moment of defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is approaching, and therefore Ukraine and NATO are ready to take desperate measures.

Thus, the author commented on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about sending ground forces and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the deployment of the bloc’s contingent on the border of Ukraine and Belarus.

Earlier, Harvard University professor Stephen Walt named five reasons why Ukraine should not join NATO. First, she does not meet the membership criteria. Secondly, there is no certain clarity regarding the fifth article. Moreover, NATO membership is not a magic shield for Ukraine, and its entry will only prolong the war. The professor believes that neutrality may not be so bad.

Let us recall that on February 27, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he does not exclude the possibility of sending military personnel from Western countries to Ukraine. True, NATO did not support the idea of ​​the French leader.

The European Parliament is convinced that the politician will not progress beyond words, and the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Macron “does not realize” what he is saying.
