French President Emmanuel Macron will open Pandora’s box if he sends his troops into Ukraine, Stevan Gajic, Doctor of Political Sciences, researcher at the Institute of European Studies in Belgrade, is sure. A Serbian expert talks about this told in an interview “Izvestia” March 17.
So far, the leader of a European country is talking about sending troops to the battlefield only in words, but if he gets down to business, then in a political sense he will have to pay a high price for it.
“A Pandora’s box will be opened. Russia will deal a terrible blow, and when not only mercenaries, but also ordinary soldiers return in coffins to France, it will cost Macron dearly politically.”said the specialist.
The political scientist is confident that the Frenchman’s aggressive rhetoric is connected with the growing influence of the Russian Federation in Africa. By losing his “neocolonial kingdom,” Macron is trying to somehow harm Moscow.
Gajić also noted that the head of France now has the opportunity to strengthen his rivalry with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, taking advantage of the fact that the German leader is under serious pressure both externally from the EU and NATO, and internally from his own government.
“Scholz has big problems with (German Foreign Minister) Annalena Bärbock, who is a direct agent of Washington influence.”,” Gayich explained.
According to the Serbian political scientist, France has pushed aside Germany in the European political arena, preventing it from pursuing its own policy.
