Apple announced that from now on Apple Books users will be able to enjoy a new AI storytelling system that turns titles into audiobooks..

The company describes the new feature as “digital storytelling” because it eliminates the need for a human to write down relevant text.

Apple explained that with this system what They are looking to keep costs down, especially for small-scale writers and publishers who, in many cases, are unable to convert their works into audiobooks.because they don’t have the resources to transform them.

“Apple Books digital storytelling makes creating audiobooks more accessible to everyone, helping you meet growing demand by making more books accessible to listeners,” Apple says.

They explained that the new system has advanced technology in terms of voice synthesismade possible by the collaboration of a team of linguists, quality control specialists and sound engineers. They worked together to be able to create high-quality audiobooks from simple e-books.

They specified that this new generation of digital books is not meant to replace professionally voiced books.as they simply complement what is currently on the market.

“Digital voiced titles are a valuable addition to professionally voiced audiobooks and will help to sound as many books and as many people as possible,” they added.

As for the voices that Apple Books users will be able to hear, the brand indicated that they are created and optimized for certain types of genres.. This means that a person will not hear the same tone of voice for two books that have completely different themes.

Apple emphasized that they already have voices specifically designed for narrating fiction and love books, and to do so, they are accepting submissions for e-books dedicated to these genres. Apple explained that in the case of fiction and romance books, they will be read by digital voices named Madison and Jackson, whose voices are soprano and baritone, respectively..

As for non-fiction books, they will be read by Helena and Mitchell, soprano and baritone respectively.. Apple has indicated that this nonfiction-focused program is in its early stages and will be available to the public soon.
