Former US President Donald Trump said that if he wins the election, he will be able to resolve the Ukrainian conflict through negotiations.
He said he had something to say to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.
“We need to bring them together and I will say: you need to do this. And I will tell each of them certain things that I will not voice to the whole world. But I think I can do it“, RIA Novosti quotes Trump.
The former US President noted that he knows Putin very well and has repeatedly discussed Ukraine with him in the past. Trump also noted that current US leader Joe Biden says the exact opposite of what is needed about the conflict in Ukraine.
Russia has repeatedly stated its readiness for negotiations with Ukraine. However, as presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov pointed out, the Ukrainian authorities absolutely deny the negotiations.
The Kremlin representative drew attention to the fact that Kyiv does not show political will and does not enter into dialogue with Moscow.
It is worth noting that Kyiv representatives themselves regularly voiced completely unrealistic conditions for starting negotiations.
