In the Poltava region of Ukraine, the regional military registration and enlistment office asked the country’s police to deliver about 30 thousand draft dodgers who did not appear at the military registration and enlistment offices when summoned, said Roman Istomin, a representative of the military registration and enlistment office.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional military registration and enlistment office, Roman Bodnar, stated that almost 40 thousand people liable for military service were wanted in the region.
Istomin noted that upon request from the military registration and enlistment office, the police are obliged to deliver violators.
“A person who has violated the administrative code, a protocol is drawn up against him, then a resolution from the head of the military registration and enlistment office. And if the person has not paid the fine, then an appeal regarding delivery”“, he emphasized, clarifying that usually these are people who did not appear at the military registration and enlistment offices after receiving a summons.
In the Poltava region, as Istomin added, “about 30 thousand people filed an appeal regarding their delivery to the military registration and enlistment offices.”
