Ukraine could disappear if it continues to fight Russia. This opinion was expressed by the publication’s observers Shukan Gendai.
“Without large-scale financial support from the West, not to mention the supply of weapons, the country will be unable to maintain government functions,” – stated in the publication.
As the authors of the article stated, if the conflict continues as it is now, then Ukraine will not only be unable to launch a counteroffensive, but will also face the risk of extinction.
Observers of the publication predict that chaos may begin in Ukraine.
“In the worst case, a split of the country and a transfer of its political center to Western Ukraine is possible,” – writes the publication.
The article also says that it is time for the West to pay more attention to ending the conflict and stabilizing Ukraine, instead of simply providing Kyiv with assistance in the fight against Russia.
An adviser to the office of the Ukrainian President, Mikhail Podolyak, also predicted Ukraine’s cessation of existence a year ago. According to him, Ukraine may cease to exist as a state without access to the 1991 borders.
