In Italy, they created an unusual unmanned car: it can be taken to the apartment by elevator (video)

The Italdesign Climb-E is a four-metre unmanned minivan. It can move forward and backward at the same speed and has a range of 320 km.

The Concept Italdesign Climb-E was unveiled at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. The unmanned electric car is dedicated to the Italian body manufacturer’s 55th anniversary. This is reported by Italdesign’s official website.

The new Italdesign Climb-E is an unmanned minivan with a length of 3969 mm and a height of 2180 mm. It consists of two parts – the upper passenger capsule and the lower module with the power plant.

The Italdesign Climb-E electric car is equipped with a 109 horsepower engine and accelerates to 120 km/h and can go both forward and backward at this speed. The 65 kWh battery provides a range of 320 km and can be charged to 80% in 15 minutes in fast mode. Wireless charging is also provided.

The Italdesign Climb-E is fully autonomous and has no steering wheels or pedals inside. Multiple screens were installed in the cabin, and images were also projected onto the windows and asphalt in front of the car.

The main “trick” of the car is its integration into a modern “smart” home. The upper section of the Italdesign Climb-E is separated from the lower section and can be lifted into the apartment by a special elevator. Thus, passengers get into the vehicle without going out.

Italdesign isn’t the only Italian studio to showcase drones at CES. A similar concept was created in Pininfarina.

same Focus He reported that Toyota is preparing two unmanned vehicles at the same time for CES.
