The new electric crossover will rank high in the Italian Alfa Romeo lineup. This information was confirmed by the CEO of the Italian brand Jean-Philippe Imparato.
The new model is expected to use the STLA Large architecture of parent company Stellantis. First, a new electric sedan for the North American market will be built on this platform.
STLA Large allows you to use batteries with a capacity of up to 118 kWh. This will allow the new electric cars to go about 700km on a single charge.
According to rumors, the basic version of the crossover will offer a 350-horsepower power plant. An 800-horsepower Veloce modification will also appear.
The main innovation of Alfa Romeo electric cars will be 800 volt charging support. Charging from 0% to 80% will take about 18 minutes, according to the brand’s CEO.
The start of production of the electric crossover is probably not before 2027. Its cost can be about 120 thousand dollars.
