Ukraine’s automobile market is growing due to sales to individuals. Most Ukrainian drivers choose crossovers.
In the first half of the year, more than 29 thousand new cars were sold in Ukraine, of which 70% (20.7 thousand) were purchased by private individuals. Such statistics are provided by the information and analytics group Auto-Consulting.
The growth of the market is due to sales to citizens (rather than to corporate customers) – individuals bought 63.2% more cars than a year ago.
The Toyota, Volkswagen and BMW brands are most in demand among Ukrainian drivers, but Renault, one of the market leaders, is only in 10th place.
The most popular car brands among individuals:
- Toyota – 2846 cars were sold.
- Volkswagen – 2483.
- BMW – 1546.
- hyundai – 1370.
- Honda-1115.
- Skoda-1101.
- Suzuki-1056.
- Mazda-1002.
- Mercedes-Benz – 988.
- Renault – 980.
Crossovers prevail between models – only all-terrain models entered the TOP-10. The leader was the Volkswagen ID.4 electric car, which unexpectedly surpassed the Toyota RAV4.
