The musicians of the Kipelov band, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, in the press center of the MIC “News” talked about their creative plans, about the upcoming tour in honor of the anniversary, and also shared the secrets of success and stories from their creative life.

The musicians said that they had disagreements on tour only on creative issues.

“Most of all, we have disputes about the program. Even now, before the broadcast, we began to argue and offer options for songs that we have not played for a long time, which we would like to perform”– said the vocalist of the group Valery Kipelov.

The musicians admitted that, strange as it may seem, they have enough time to make music on tour, because there the artists live in a certain mode, so they find time not to lose their skills. After the tour, at home, they usually begin to solve various issues and problems, there is no time left for music lessons.

Kipelov also noted that families often come to their concerts.

“There are funny moments when quite old, shabby men come up and, hugging me, say: “Can I take a picture, I grew up on your songs?” Kipelov noted.

He also expressed his belief that rock is alive and has never died.

“We have always been, there have always been rock festivals. They gathered an audience. But many thought that if we were not on TV, then we” died. No “– said Kipelov.

According to the group’s bass guitarist Alexei Kharkov, “Kipelov” would not add fashion trends to his repertoire, for example, rap popular among young people.

“I think that our group is quite conservative. We have our own style, to which the people have a certain response. Regarding protest music, it seems to me that now is the time when there are too many freedoms, that there is simply nothing to protest against. In the days of the Soviet Union, they somehow forced everyone to play certain music, now you can do anything”Kharkov said.

The group’s drummer Alexander Manyakin admitted that, despite the fact that the band already has its own history and audience, the desire to be always on top does not disappear.

“The song hits some charts. Everyone wants to be there at the top. It is”he noted.

The group’s guitarist Vyacheslav Molchanov noted that the popularity of any group, including them, has a wave-like character.

“Everything is undulating. Now it’s like this, then a little lower, then they released a new album and again it kind of went”he noted.

Kipelov is a Russian rock band. According to the soloist, the team plays in the style of hard-n-heavy, and the main reference points in their work are “a good beautiful melody and a worthy text.”

The group has been counting its activities since October 11, 2002, when the first concert took place on the stage of the Yubileiny sports palace in St. Petersburg.
