REN TV will host the premiere of the uncompromising series “Varyag”

Russian James Bond, a loner and an uncompromising operative – it’s all about the protagonist of the new project REN TV. The premiere of the series “Varyag” will take place on Sunday, November 20. The action movie will show a truly tough confrontation between the Russian special services and the international criminal syndicate – the organizer of the most high-profile political terrorist attacks. The authors have already called the project an adrenaline blockbuster, the plot of which will keep the viewer in constant suspense. Surprise everyone and computer special effects.

Russian special agent returns to operational work. He is the best in his field: intelligence, strength, resourcefulness. That is why the Varangian, performed by Alexei Parasevich, invites the Curator to his office. He entrusts him with a new mission – dangerous, as usual, but it is not the international criminals that he will face that are terrible, but the unpredictable consequences. Both the viewer and the protagonist are waiting for sharp plot twists, which is an indispensable attribute of a high-quality action-packed movie. And of course, action scenes – there will be a lot of them.

“There has never been such a number of fights and action. We have more than 40 fights in a season. And the main character participates in most of them. The workload, of course, was quite tough”– shared Alexey “Bones” Abrakhmanov, one of the directors of the hand-to-hand action of the series “Varangian”.

Alexey Abrakhmanov is responsible for staging hand-to-hand action in the series. Each battle in an action movie is a mini-performance where any action is thought out. Not only understudies, stuntmen, but also the actors themselves for such scenes must be in excellent physical shape, which was demonstrated by Alexei Parasevich. Although in the early days of filming it was hard.

“I sat down, took everything out of the freezer, and covered myself with berries, dumplings, because my body hurt. At first, the body got used to it. This is pleasure through pain. You understand that you did it beautifully, goodabout”, – said the performer of the role of Varyag Alexei Parasevich.

Each character has its own destiny, its own biography and its own secrets. Nobody can be trusted. Therefore, the Varyag is a lone hero. Any operation can be a trap. And if Varyag can be called a kind of Russian Bond, an agent with a license to kill, then, for example, another main character – the Curator – can be called Professor X. Alexei Nilov moves around in a wheelchair and gives instructions. He is the brains of operations. But who knows what’s on his mind.

“In general, there is a lot of mysterious and incomprehensible, but not in the sense that no one knows what it is, but in the fact that it is interesting what will happen next. I really liked that the character is ambiguous. Not some kind of superman, superhero who knows everything and can do everything at the click of a button.– Aleksey Nilov, performer of the Curator’s birth, described his character.

The actor Nilov himself compares the dramaturgy of the series with a chess game – and not by chance. Here are the heroes in the frame after the game discussing another case. Who will be the first to move the knight?

“In a chess game, it is important not only to think through all your moves in advance, but to have concentration. What if the hero was involved in a game in which everyone breaks the rules? How then to calculate the actions? But keeping a cool head and sanity is the fundamental quality of a super agent”– stressed film critic Nikolai Nikulin.
