Metallica Postpones James Hetfield Concert Due To Covid-19 Test Positive

Epidemiological experts are clear that Covid, a disease that has kept the world on its health alert for almost three years, is here to stay. This influence even reached such eminent figures as James Hetfield, Metallica vocalist and guitaristwhich resulted in the American band postponing some of their scheduled shows on the current tour to next week.

Through their official page, the group heavy metal, known for such hits as “Enter Sandman” and “Nothing Else Matters”., shared the news along with an image showing a positive Covid test result, accompanied by a message about it. However, it has been noted that tomorrow’s Glendale, Arizona show has been rescheduled for next Saturday.

A message on the website reads: “We regret to announce that tomorrow’s scheduled date at the M72 at State Farm Stadium has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023 as James has unfortunately fallen ill with Covid. We deeply regret and apologize for the inconvenience caused. We look forward to returning and wrapping up the M72 weekend next Saturday.”

In addition to this news Metallica has been garnering attention lately for more than just the presence of celebrities like Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and John Travolta (Grease) at one of his concerts, and also because a dog named “Storm” who ran away from his house near the stadium “Sophie” enjoyed the performance without interference.

The band members joked about Storm’s experience, noting that she enjoys songs like “Master of Puppets”. However, they emphasized that it is not recommended to bring pets to mass events.

Who is James Hetfield?

James Hetfield, leader, guitarist and singer of Metallicarecently celebrated its 60th birthday.
