Stop using Section 42 and decide not to exploit the immigration issue.

President Biden and Republican leaders in Washington need to be taught that 11 million immigrants are a source of income for their countries of origin in Latin America. The annual remittances sent by these undocumented immigrants run into the billions, far exceeding US aid to these countries.

The Biden administration promised the countries of Central America $5 or $6 billion over four years. That same year, Guatemalan immigrants alone sent over $10 billion in remittances. It can also be argued that the remittances of these workers stop the massive waves of immigration to the north. Eleven million undocumented immigrants send money to their relatives back home. Therefore, these people do not need to go north. If these immigrants are legalized, they will earn more money and send more to their relatives back home.

If our political leaders in Washington exercise the virtues of common sense, they will legalize eleven million undocumented immigrants.
