Xochitl Galvez comes to Los Angeles, but ignores much of the community

Senator Xochitl Galvez, standard bearer of the Mexican Support Front, will be in Southern California on September 28 and 29. This organization includes the Institutional Revolutionary Parties (PRI), National Action (PAN) and the Democratic Revolution (PRD).

Senator Galvez will hold meetings with Federation leaders, some local authorities, a small group of farm workers, some “dreamers” and representatives of the local media.

I have no doubt that when she meets the farm workers, most, if not all, of them will have no idea of the senator’s identity. I believe that the main goal of a Mexican presidential candidate is to take a couple of photos and videos that will serve as advertising for a future campaign as a candidate of the Amplio Por México Front.

The same scheme was used by PRI and PAN officials or legislators in the past. They take photographs with community members, in agricultural areas or workplaces, to “record” their value connection with the people.

Claudia Sheinbaum, nominated by Morena for the presidency of Mexico.

Something similar will happen when on Thursday, the 28th of this month, at exactly 4:00 p.m., a group of “dreamers” “talks” with Senator Galvez at the Santa Monica City Hall. The ritual will be repeated, photos and videos will be taken to later decorate your advertising for the elections on June 2, 2024.

The highlight will be when 20 leaders of Mexican organizations and federations meet with her behind closed doors to present requests related to health care, government jobs for Mexicans living abroad, increasing the budget of Mexican consulates in the United States and simplifying the process voting from abroad. Of course, the most urgent demand will be the restoration of the 3 X 1 program, which was eradicated due to the level of corruption several years ago by the President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

All this raises two pressing questions. First, none of these events were held in the city of Los Angeles, but in Santa Monica and Oxnard. These cities are located 30 minutes and an hour from Los Angeles, respectively. The main reason to avoid entering Los Angeles is to avoid provoking demonstrations against them, as Morena organizations and López Obrador groups committed to the 4Ts are proliferating in the area.

Secondly, the interest of the standard-bearer of conservatism in Mexico, whose only interest is to have migrant leaders of the Mexican right as interlocutors, is very obvious. In other words, just like last March, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard visited the city of Los Angeles, held a private meeting with the migrant leaders of PAN, PRD and PRI and deliberately excluded Morena from the list of leaders. Senator Galvez’s visit and program to Southern California should be interpreted as a continuation of the policies established by Chancellor Ebrard.

With her will be the same leaders who met with Ebrard, the bitter enemies of López Obrador and the 4Ts, not now, but at least for almost four decades.

That is, at that time, the most remarkable thing about the former chancellor’s visit to Los Angeles was that his true political orientation was clearly revealed. With a different political face, the Mexican Broad Front, Senator Galvez demonstrates the same policies in a cruder form.

This is the main reason why most Mexicans and migrants have closed ranks with Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, especially after Ebrard’s questions about the poll, which Sheinbaum won so widely that it leaves no room for even the slightest doubt.

The former chancellor is determined to delegitimize the poll and question Morena’s moral validity, even as reality itself reveals his insane ambitions. Here the questions arise: What are the interests behind Ebrard? What interests does this serve in the US and Mexico?

Given this political situation, it is extremely important that Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who according to the logic of history is called to be the first President of Mexico, appears on these fronts as soon as possible. Nothing and no one can stop this.

The time has come for you to respond to our repeated invitation to visit us in the city of Los Angeles and, with your presence, promote the unity of the people of Mexico on both sides of the border. It will confirm the strong unity of the Morenista and López Obrador organizations in the American Union. This is a fundamental asset that will give her the strength that will take her to the level that the next head of the Mexican nation deserves.
