The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) has announced that Diego Cocca is no longer the coach of the Mexican national team after the failure in the Concacafe Nations League. The Argentine was widely criticized for the team’s performance and was sacked after beating Panama 1-0 for third place in the Concacafe Nations League.
The federation reported that Rodrigo Ares de Parga also did not take command of the national teams.
“The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) announced today through its Commissioner Juan Carlos Rodríguez that it is ending the management of Rodrigo Ares de Parga. is in charge of the Mexican national teams, while Diego Martin Cocca and his coaching staff are in charge of the Mexican men’s team,” reports FMF.
With the Gold Cup in the following weeks, FMF announced Jaime Lozano as interim coach who was in the process of the national team during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
