All-Russian archery competitions opened in Moscow

The II All-Russian archery competition for the Cup of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation opened in Moscow on September 25. The opening ceremony was held by the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov and the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.

“I would like to wish you the right directions, good luck, and don’t let your hand waver. The strongest will win.”– emphasized Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, speaking to the guys.

400 athletes from 41 regions of Russia came to the competition in Moscow. For example, Daniil Vinokurov came from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). He has been practicing archery for ten years.

“This is a completely new level compared to the region in which you shoot. There are a huge number of participants here, and everyone has their own experience, their own technique.”said Daniil Vinokurov.

Coach, record holder and world champion Olga Rogova compared archery to seeds: once you start, you won’t be able to stop. If you get in once, you’ll want to get in again, then get a rank, and then get into the Russian national team.

“You can come to archery at any age and start shooting at any age. A lot of children come when they have not realized themselves somewhere.”added Olga Rogova.

The singer Shaman also performed for the competition participants.
