The “Invisible” drone “Sorcerer” from the Dnieper successfully fights the Russians: what is known (video)

The drone is protected from electronic warfare and does not depend on GPS. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received more than a hundred of these “birds”.

Recently, the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been replenished with a new reconnaissance aircraft called “Koldun”, developed in the city of Dnipro. Focus Talk about its features and features.

The development of the “Sorcerer” was carried out by representatives of the Aircraft Modeling Sports Federation of the Dnepropetrovsk region. They told Channel 9 reporters that the drone was modeled and assembled from parts that could be quickly repaired or replaced in the field. It is controlled using the remote control and special glasses that transmit the image from the camera of the device to the operator. The first drone models began to be tested in August 2022, and currently more than 100 vehicles are helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

One of the main features of the UAV is that it is invisible to enemy electronic warfare systems. Federation President Dmitry Panchenko said that during the tests, unmanned aerial vehicles were forced to fly under the influence of electronic warfare systems.

“They really stuck us, but the plane flies, he does not care. The satellites disappear – it continues to do its job. Question:” how do you do it “? We answer:” but we do not know , because the Sorcerer, ”explained Dmitry.

In a comment to Informator, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Federation also bragged about the availability of a drone. The production cost of the “Sorcerer” is almost the same as for quadrocopters, but the possibilities are much wider. Depending on the battery capacity, the flight range is between 100 and 150 km, and the operating altitude is between 300 and 500 meters. Also, the UAV is “invisible” to radar.

The “sorcerer” has an aircraft design and a similar “mirror” control – the principle is fundamentally different from the control of quadrocopters. Therefore, it takes about a week for operators to learn how to operate such devices to “overcome” habitual reflexes and develop certain motor skills. First, the military masters the general theory of flight, and then trains on a computer simulator.

The drone operates in autonomous mode – operators need to set checkpoints where the drone should fly after launch. Approaching the endpoint, the Sorcerer begins to spin at an altitude of 150 meters and waits for the pilot to take control and manually lower the device.

Engineers from Dnipro did not limit themselves to one type of drone and have already developed five different models, some of them received optics for night work. They also created their own matrices and plan to start the production of components in Ukraine. According to Dmitry Panchenko, more than 100 drones per month can be assembled in Dnipro, but mass production requires money that the Federation does not have. State officials do not help, so all “Sorcerers” are given money from the army and volunteers.

Volunteer Sergei Ivolgin, who delivered several Kolduns to the Ukrainian army, said the drones were very good at communicating with the operator. It is impossible to mute them as the devices go to their built-in devices and are not connected to GPS.

A military man named Vladislav told Channel 9 that using Mages is much safer than using the same quadrocopters. Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces can launch the UAV along the programmed route and quickly leave without exposing themselves to the risk of bombardment. After that, they simply go to the landing point and pick up the device that completes the combat mission.

A fighter of the “Steppe Wolves” tactical group described how he used “Sorcerers” with his brothers with the call sign of the Son-in-law. According to him, they made more than 40 sorties, and during this time they lost two drones, one of the drones managed to complete 15 missions.

“He found the gunner, and even flew over the air defense. They probably recognize this bird by its looks and sound, but they can’t do anything to it. The point is that it does its job. It finds it, and then.” The men work at these coordinates,” his son-in-law shared.

Earlier, they wrote that Ukraine is developing a new shock plane called “Inquisitor”. Quadcopters are designed to mine Russian equipment and manpower.
