Good results in March are also positively reflected in the overall result for the first 3 months of the year. From January to March 2023, the Italian car market grew by 26.2%. But what were top selling models last month?
In terms of market share, petrol models gained 28.4% while diesel vehicles stood at 20.3%. Instead, LPG can expect a market share of 7.6%. The share is 4.8% for 100% electrical and 4.3% for plug-in modules. Hybrid HEVs are still doing well with a market share of 34.5%. Only 0.1% share of methane.
Looking at electrical segment, the month of March was also positive in terms of volume. Were at all 8 195 registrations compared to 4515 units registered last year. This is an increase of 81.5%. In the first 3 months of the year, the number of registrations increased by 45% compared to the same period last year. Plugins, on the other hand, are up 19.6% in volume compared to March 2022 with 7,337 registrations. In the first 3 months of 2023, PHEVs were 11% more than in 2022.
