Google Deep Mind: what is the new attempt to compete with ChatGPT?

Google announced that it will unite the working units responsible for research and development of new models of artificial intelligence.. The company’s idea is that all efforts are focused on a new collaborative working team called Google Deep Mind.

This was reported statement released by Deep Mind CEO Demis Hassabis. Created in 2010, this division’s goal is to lead Google’s efforts to be able to compete with other companies that are also developing their own AI models, such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Bing (Microsoft).

“DeepMind and the Google Research’s Brain team will merge their efforts into a single entity called Google DeepMind.. The combination of our talents and efforts will accelerate our progress towards a world where AI helps solve the biggest problems facing humanity, and I am incredibly excited to lead this unit and work with all of you to build it.” Khasabis assured.

According to information leaked from Google offices, the company is working on new software codenamed Gemini. With this new system, Google hopes to put behind the lack of receptivity caused by its artificial intelligence chatbot called Bard, which was recently introduced but didn’t have much of an impact.

This caused fear at Google when they saw how the rest of the companies managed to position themselves as benchmarks in the industry..

A striking example of this is the fact that after its launch ChatGPT became the record company for the number of registered users in the first 24 hours.

Added to this is the fact that currently has over 100 million userswhich makes them reference because they control a significant part of the market.
