“Revolutionary weapon”: Israel created ultra-precise kamikaze drones SpyX (photo, video)

The drone, which accelerates to 150 km per hour and carries a warhead weighing 2.5 kg, has a hit error of less than 1 m.

BlueBird Aero Systems, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries Group, unveiled its innovative SpyX attack drone at the Paris Air Show 2023, Army Recognition reported.

SpyX is a small disposable drone designed to carry out attacks. As BlueBird Aero Systems assures, tactical military groups will be able to use it to detect and destroy targets up to 50 km away.

The new drone is very light and maneuverable, and its electric motor enables it to reach speeds of up to 150 km/h. The open architecture allows the drone to scout alongside other BlueBird UAVs such as WanderB-VTOL and ThunderB-VTOL.

The main advantage of SpyX is called the highest accuracy – an error of less than 1 m reduces the risk of causing collateral damage or hitting allies. It is provided by an advanced hub-mounted dual-sensor payload as well as an advanced electro-optical camera for guidance.

With their help, the drone can autonomously carry out attacks using a 2.5 kg anti-personnel, anti-tank or anti-vehicle type warhead. Operators can attach the warhead just before launch, depending on the object to be hit. Controlling SpyX requires a laptop and two people and a ground station.

Ronen Nadir, CEO of BlueBird Aero Systems, described the SpyX as a “revolution” in military UAVs. According to him, the system combines innovative technologies with versatility and cost effectiveness; This should significantly increase the effectiveness and accuracy of strikes, as well as the situational awareness of the military. The joint use of vertical take-off reconnaissance aircraft and idle ammunition will provide an additional advantage on the battlefield.

Features of SpyX kamikaze drone:

  • weight – about 10 kg;
  • flight range – 50 km;
  • flight time – 1.5 hours;
  • impact error – less than 1 m;
  • speed – up to 150 km / h.

Atlas Aerospace demonstrated the AtlasTETHER system for unlimited drone flight at the Paris Air Show 2023. AtlasPRO allows you to “connect” the drone with a cable to continuously power it. According to experts, this technology will help artillery on the battlefield.

They wrote recently that France secretly created Aarok fighter jets, which are not afraid of Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense systems. It should rival the American MQ-9 Reaper and the Turkish Bayraktar Akıncı.
