Ferrari KC23 exclusive one-of-a-kind at Goodwood 2023 July 17, 2023 5

Among the many cars that Ferrari brought to Goodwood 2023, there was also a new KC23, an exclusive copy created for a wealthy buyer. The car then took part in the mountain race, a short time trial with the fastest time ever recorded by the McLaren Solus GT supercar.

Therefore, at Goodwood, this exclusive model of the “Prancing Horse” debuted dynamically. Thus, the audience has the opportunity to admire this car based on the 488 GT3 EVO. Despite being a special project, Maranello nonetheless stressed that the car gives us our first glimpse into the direction the new supercar design language will take in the future.

FOR TRACK

Recall that the exclusive Ferrari KC23 is specially designed for the track. It is for this reason that the technicians from Maranello worked hard on aerodynamics to make the car extremely fast in corners. The work was facilitated by the fact that the car it does not have to meet certain homologation restrictions. The new supercar can also count on active aerodynamics and removable rear fender. The car also has vertically opening doors and a Gold Mercury body.

On the other hand, interiors are important, as are racing cars. The steering wheel, for example, is very similar to that used in endurance racing. The seats, on the contrary, are upholstered in Alcantara. Note that there are no classic rear-view mirrors here. In their place, we find cameras that project images onto small displays located in the cockpit.

As for the engine, Ferrari did not share details. However, given that the new KC23 is based on the 488 GT3 EVO, the engine should be a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 capable of producing 600 hp. and 700 Nm of torque.
