UAVs attacked a fuel storage facility in the Bryansk region: Russian Defense Ministry accuses Ukraine of terrorist attack

Russian air defense allegedly intercepted the drones and the debris of one of them fell on one of the empty tanks. According to media reports, the attack on the region was carried out with aircraft-type UAVs.

On the night of October 11, drones attacked the Surazhsky district of the Bryansk region (Russian Federation). Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz announced this on his Telegram channel.

He blamed Ukraine for the drone attack.

“Ukrainian terrorists tried to attack objects in the Surazhsky district using UAVs,” Alexander Bogomaz said.

According to him, Russian air defense forces allegedly destroyed two UAVs. Bogomaz said that there was no loss of life or destruction as a result of the attack. He said operational and emergency services were in place.

Shot Telegram channel noted that a fuel storage facility in the Bryansk region was attacked by a UAV. The incident took place at around 12 o’clock at night in the village of Lesnoye in the Surazhsky region, 70 kilometers from the state border. It was claimed that the drone, flying at an altitude of 60 meters, was hit by small arms fire from an anti-drone weapon.

The message said, “The drone, which was lowered with the help of electronic warfare, fell into the field and exploded.”

They added that the second drone also tried to attack the same object but was shot down and its debris fell on one of the empty tanks.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that on the night of October 11, air defense intercepted two UAVs on the territory of the Bryansk region.

The message said, “On the night of October 11, two attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks with aircraft-type UAVs on the territory of the Russian Federation were stopped.”

Let us remind you that an explosive was dropped by an unidentified UAV in the city of Trubchevsk in the Bryansk region on September 30. As a result, one civilian was injured. One of the administrative buildings was damaged.

On September 29, Russian media reported alleged attempts by Ukrainian saboteurs to enter the territory of the Bryansk region on infantry fighting vehicles. Russian border guards allegedly detected saboteurs in a forest belt near the Snov River near the village of Lugovoy, Klimovsky District.
