Electric Porsche Boxster will arrive on time 2025. Meanwhile, the German automaker continues testing its new BEV. Now, series of battery-powered roadster forklifts were intercepted during some test sessions on Northern European roads. Porsche, like other car manufacturers, is still conducting winter tests thanks to which he can test the mechanics of his cars in particularly difficult climatic conditions. Even more important tests are for electric ones, given that battery performance and charging can be checked in very low temperatures.
New spy photo show off the electric Boxster with a lower level of camouflage than before. On some of the forklifts shown in the spy photos, we can see, for example, that the headlights appear to be stock and have a design reminiscent of the headlights of the Taycan and the new electric Macan. Additionally, at the rear we see LED clusters in thin horizontal shapes. There is also a charging port on the back.
As for the interior, the new footage doesn’t give us a peek inside. Either way, past images have given us our first glimpse of the interior, which will bear some resemblance to that of the new electric Macan.
Behind the steering wheel there is a large screen of digital instruments. However, Porsche has placed the display of the infotainment system itself at the center. Below we will find 5 physical buttons, vents and 2 USB ports. Controls for climate control and seat heating/ventilation functions have been moved to the central tunnel.
As for the mechanics, there is no exact information yet. There has been talk for some time about choosing to place the battery in the center, behind the driver but in front of the rear axle. And all this in order to replicate the driving experience of mid-engined cars.
More details will emerge as we approach the debut of this new electric model.
