Kvertus, the latest electronic warfare system created at the request of the army: what ranges does it support?

The new Kvertus device operates in four current frequency bands and has two antenna power options. The company will soon offer a tool for other available frequencies.

The Ukrainian company Kvertus has developed an electronic warfare system AD Kraken Counter FPV operating at various current ranges. The company announced this on its Facebook page.

Kvertus says that he received a request from the Ukrainian army for the 900 MHz frequency range due to the Russian invaders’ unmanned aerial vehicles changing frequencies. The company monitors the situation from the front and develops tools suitable for current conditions, and careful development takes time.

The new Kvertus AD Kraken Counter FPV works with four ranges simultaneously:

  • 940-1050MHz;
  • 850-940MHz;
  • 700-850MHz;
  • 420-460MHz.

The device is available in two versions: with antennas with a power of 30 or 50 W for each band. A more powerful vehicle is called “Kvertus AD Kraken Counter FPV M50”. The company also announced a new vehicle that will appear soon and operate on other frequencies.

A Kvertus representative noted that practical tests confirmed the device’s ability to turn on all frequencies simultaneously. “Kvertus AD Kraken Counter FPV” has been tested and sent to mass production.

AD Kraken Counter FPV is not yet available on the company’s website, but other models of the AD COUNTER FPV series are offered here. These include simpler tools operating in a single range, such as the Quertus AD Counter FPV at 850-940 MHz, and more complex tools, such as the Quertus AD Kraken-M. The latest device supports nine simultaneous bands between 433 MHz and 5965 MHz. Kraken-M has a range of up to 1.4 km and the antennas are deployed at a 60° angle. It is powered from a normal electrical outlet or 25 V DC source and consumes no more than 1 kW of energy.

Recently, the commander of an attack drone company, petty officer Alexander Karpyuk (Serge Marco), talked about how to correctly choose and use electronic warfare equipment at the front. EW units in the field recommended Quertus products with verification caveats unless they recommended another manufacturer.
