Ed Westwick, the Gossip Girl star, and his girlfriend Amy Jackson probably remember their ski trip to Switzerland. The couple got engaged during a recent holiday in Gstaad. Westwick asked this question on Tissot’s Peak Walk, a picturesque mountain suspension bridge in the Alps. She posted the photo on Instagram, People writes.
The couple shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post on Monday morning. Jackson, 31, captioned her post: “Yes yes,” while Westwick, 36, wrote on her Instagram Story: “I won the jackpot xxx.”
This important moment of the couple was captured in a photo gallery. Westwick knelt on the bridge suspended at 3,000 meters between the observation deck at Le Diableret and the Scex Rouge in Gstaad. And his offer appeared to come as a surprise to Jackson, who clapped her hands over her mouth in shock.
The couple donned their ski gear for the occasion. While he was wearing a green and brown suit, he was wearing an all-white suit.
After Jackson said “I do,” she and her future husband posed for a few photos.
Amy showed off her sparkling diamond ring, although she wasn’t close enough to see exactly what kind of ring Westwick got for his beau.
Jackson is mother to four-year-old son Andreas Panayiotou, whom she shares with former partner George Panayiotou.
He and Westwick first met at Silverstone Raceway in 2021, where they were both attending an Aston Martin event. He invited her to a double coffee date with his dogs, his poodle Herbert and his French bulldog Humphrey.
“From the very beginning, he knew how to get me on my good side…coffee and dogs,” Amy told Lifestyle Asia in August 2023.
They went public with their relationship on Instagram in June 2022 and have been sharing cute posts and pictures ever since. They made their red carpet debut at the National Film Awards in July of the same year.
Jackson was born in Douglas in the Isle of Man and began her modeling career in the United Kingdom at the age of 15.
He entered the acting world in 2010 when Indian filmmakers offered him the lead role in the historical drama Madrasapattinam. Since then, he has developed his acting career in Bollywood and appeared in nearly 20 films.
Her first role in the US was in 2017, when she played Imra Ardyn (also known as Saturn Girl) on The CW’s Supergirl.
Westwick, of course, became famous for his role as Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl. The British actor appeared in the series from 2007 to 2012.
