The United Kingdom faces a humanitarian crisis amid skyrocketing prices. The country may face disease outbreaks warned in the UK health service.
“The country is facing a humanitarian crisis. Many people may be faced with a terrible choice: refuse food to warm their homes or live in cold, damp, very unpleasant conditions. This in turn can lead to outbreaks and diseases throughout the country,” — quoted in The Times edition of the words of the executive director of the association, which includes public health organizations, Matthew Taylor.
It is indicated that the association was the coordinator in writing an appeal to the head of the Ministry of Finance from more than 100 heads of healthcare organizations. All of them require measures to be taken to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed in the country. Thus, the authorities were offered to assist the population in paying energy bills.
According to Taylor, the British National Health Service (NHS) may be in the most difficult winter on record. He added that the NHS has already taken action because it recognizes that “fuel poverty will inevitably lead to a significant increase in demand for services that are already very vulnerable.”
Previously, the British were urged to get used to the “strange” because of the drought vegetables in stores.
