Antonov: arms supplies to Kyiv make the United States a party to the conflict

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov noted that the allocation of another package of assistance to the Kyiv regime from the United States fixes Washington in the status of a participant in the conflict.

He clarified that Moscow perceives the US actions as an “immediate threat” to Russia.

“Supplies by the United States and its allies of military products not only entail a prolongation of bloodshed and new casualties, but also increase the danger of a direct military clash between Russia and Western countries”– quotes the words of Antonov Telegram channel embassies.

The ambassador urged Washington to stop provocative actions, noting that US policy could lead to “the most serious consequences.”

Russia has repeatedly stressed that Western states are deliberately dragging out the confrontation. According to Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, the United States and its henchmen are increasing the supply of weapons to Kyiv, which nationalists use against civilians.

According to the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine is a legitimate target for the Russian Federation. In addition, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that by supplying weapons to Kyiv, NATO countries are “playing with fire.”

As the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov noted, pumping the Ukrainian side with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv, and will also have a negative effect.
