Turkey earthquake death toll rises to 31,643

The number of victims of a powerful earthquake in the south-east of Turkey exceeded 30 thousand people. This was announced on February 13 by the Office for the Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (AFAD).

So, according to the latest data, 31,643 people died due to the elements.

“The death toll from earthquakes has risen to 31,643. 158,165 victims have been evacuated from the region to other provinces.”the message says.

Debris after the earthquake is still being cleared. Rescuers perform real miracles and, in addition to bodies, find survivors of the disaster.

Earlier in the day, it became known that after the earthquake in the south-east of Turkey, a giant fault formed, which is visible from space.

Recall that tremors of magnitude 7.7 shook the south-east of Turkey on the night of February 6. According to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, this earthquake was the most powerful in the last 80 years, and the consequences of the last element were compared with the explosion of 500 atomic bombs. To date, the number of victims has exceeded 24,000. More than a hundred thousand people have been affected.
