The VISTA is a one-of-a-kind trainer aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in collaboration with Calspan Corporation for the US Air Force TPS. Built on open systems architecture, VISTA is equipped with software that allows it to simulate the performance of other aircraft.
In addition, the fighter’s autonomous simulation control system (SACS) is also integrated into the fighter, allowing the aircraft to remain in the sky independently for 17 consecutive hours without the assistance of a pilot.
