Uneasy relations between Germany and Poland may negatively affect the provision of full-fledged military support to Ukraine. This was reported by the news agency Bloomberg.

“While NATO countries show unity in support of Ukraine, a split between Germany and Poland risks undermining joint efforts to supply Kyiv troops”– indicated in the publication.

The article recalled that recently Warsaw has repeatedly accused Berlin of delaying the dispatch of tanks to Kyiv. However, after the approval of the supply of Leopard tanks by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Poles themselves, as it turned out, could hardly transfer old-model combat vehicles to Ukraine.

Germany this time was criticized for the fact that the country did not send spare parts. So, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the main responsibility lies with the FRG as the manufacturer of these tanks.

In addition, according to Bloomberg, Poland does not stop demanding that Germany pay 1.3 trillion dollars in reparations.

Another stumbling block was the energy policy of the countries. Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak earlier accused Germany of Germany’s energy sector “sending billions to Moscow”, to which German Ambassador Thomas Bagger asked if he knew “how many billions of zlotys Poland transferred to Moscow every year in exchange for Russian energy carriers”.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly emphasized that any shipments of weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine would be a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the supply of weapons would not stop, but would prolong the conflict in Ukraine, and called the position of Western countries “harmful” and “counterproductive.”
