Killer whales surgically cut off the livers of other marine predators. Local researchers from the Academy of Marine Dynamics counted the carcasses of 17 flat-headed seven-gill sharks washed ashore by the tide. Moreover, the researchers know about the “killers” – this is a pair of male killer whales, nicknamed Port and Starbort. Sometimes they even prey on great white sharks, which are also expertly gutted.
