US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan warned Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili about the inadmissibility of Russian help to circumvent sanctions. This was stated in the message of the White House following the meeting of leaders on March 11.

“Sullivan stressed the need for Georgia not to become a platform for avoiding (sanctions)”, – said in the document.

The leaders, according to a White House statement, agreed that anti-Russian sanctions should work.

Earlier, the United States and the European Union issued a joint statement in which they promised to ensure the implementation of anti-Russian sanctions and punish anyone who helps the Russian Federation bypass the restrictions.

Anti-Russian sanctions harm the European Union and the United States more than Russia. While prices for electricity, heating and food are steadily rising in the West, the Russian Federation is rapidly developing domestic markets and partnerships with Asian countries.

“There would be no happiness, but misfortune helped, after all, this is a powerful step towards further sovereignization, towards increasing our economic and financial sovereignty, this is very important”– said Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking of sanctions.

Limiting prices for Russian oil also did not have the desired effect for the West: based on existing prices, there is no ceiling on prices for Russian oil, according to Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
