Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Prague for an anti-government rally on 11 March. Among other demands, the protesters wanted to remove the flag of Ukraine from the building of the National Museum, the portal reported. Idnes.
“The protesters demanded that the Ukrainian flag be removed from the museum building. The police detained 15 people, as a result of the clash one of the law enforcement officers was injured”– said in the publication.
A crowd gathered in front of the museum and surrounded the building. The protesters chanted: “We want the Czech flag.”
Recall that on the afternoon of March 11, people staged a rally against the current government in the center of Prague. The event was organized by the new political movement PRO. Initially, it was planned to draw the attention of the authorities only to the problem of poverty in the country. Another protest, which resulted in riots, took place in Paris. There, citizens oppose raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 years. The police carry out mass arrests and use tear gas.
