The Russian Embassy in the United States called Kirby’s words about Russian pilots rudeness

The Russian Embassy in the United States commented on a statement by White House National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby, who had previously insulted a Su-27 pilot who shot down an American drone in the Black Sea.

“We are forced to state that the rudeness and habits of a hooligan from the gateway are becoming a habit of official representatives in Washington. This is obvious cowardice – to insult the officers of the Russian army, formally being a man in uniform”is noted in Telegram channel embassies.

The embassy also said in a release statement that Kirby was spouting insults when he was safe and away from the places where “thanks to the” hawks “from the White House, the blood of the civilian population has been shed for 9 years.”

Indeed, at the same time, the population of the United States itself does not support the criminal policy of the United States pursued in Ukraine, and it is irrational to reinforce it with “such unforgivable behavior.”

“Such a PR move will not bring any added value”– summed up in the embassy.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova recommended that John Kirby “save his nerves.”

The incident with the American MQ-9 Reaper drone that fell into the Black Sea became known on March 14. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the US drone was flying with transponders turned off, violating the borders of the area of ​​the temporary regime for the use of airspace, which was established for the purpose of conducting a special operation.

Russian fighter jets took to the skies to identify the intruder. The drone went into uncontrolled flight, lost altitude and crashed into the sea. The Pentagon tried to justify the fall of the drone, which ended up near the Russian borders, stating that the device allegedly fell after the fighter “hit the propeller of the MQ-9”, and before that – “spilled fuel.”

It turned out that the drone was collecting data that could be used against Russia. Later, Russian pilots who prevented the American MQ-9 Reaper drone from invading Russian airspace received awards personally from Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on March 22.

Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said that Russia would try to get fragments of the American apparatus, noting that the incident showed the direct participation of the United States in the hostilities in Ukraine.
