A man in England spent 4 years struggling with the wrong parking check

Andrew Mogridzhu did not pay a check for £4.5 (just over 200 hryvnia) as he left the Peterborough parking lot. He tried to pay the required amount, but the machine that accepted the money did not work. The man decided to pay from home, but the bill has already risen to 7.5 pounds (340 hryvnia). The case went to court.

Andrew Mogridge, 59, was not happy with the increase in the price of leaving the parking lot due to a malfunctioning machine. The Briton decided to sue Britannia Parking Lot and eventually won the case. Reported by Metro.

A £4.50 parking check was given to a man leaving a parking lot in Peterborough. He tried to pay the required amount, but problems arose. The ATM was broken.

“Parking was paid on check-out, not on check-in. When I got out of the parking lot, I tried to pay £4.50 with my phone and two credit cards, but the machine didn’t work. Like many people, I didn’t pay. I went to get the money, went to Asda for the right coin, and went back to the parking lot, but by then “That amount went up to £6.50, which I didn’t have, and I was told I needed it. When I tried to do that, the amount went up to £7.50 (340 hryvnia),” said Andrew.

Later, the Briton said that the malfunction of the machine was not his fault. As a result of the transactions, the case was brought to the court and the check amount increased to 300 liras (13.5 thousand UAH). It happened four years ago, but the man has only now won the case.

“It was a little man’s victory. I know a lot of people in Peterborough were affected by the machines that didn’t work,” the British added.

A Britannia Parking lot employee said they cannot comment on specific situations, but changes have been made in connection with the transition to card payments.

It has also been reported in England that city dwellers are afraid of giant rats. In the port city of Tenby, giant rodents are digging up Castle Hill. Local residents no longer believe that rats will be destroyed.
