India is not an ally of the US and never will be. But that doesn’t mean close partnerships on a range of fronts are impossible, said Kurt Campbell, the US administration’s Indo-Pacific policy coordinator.
He called India a great power, RIA Novosti reports.
“India is not an ally of the US and never will be. However, this does not mean that we will not be close partners and share approaches to many things.” Campbell said.
Earlier in The American Conservative, columnist Ted Snyder said that the anti-Russian policy pursued by the United States brings the onset of multipolarity in international politics closer and contributes to the strengthening of the PRC.
He drew attention to the fact that Washington views Russia as an “acute threat”, but the strategy to weaken Moscow has led to its rapprochement with Beijing. The mistake of the United States, as indicated in the article, contributes to the onset of a multipolar world.
Snyder recalled that a number of countries, including India, Brazil and South Africa, refuse to impose restrictions on Russia.
