The military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was able to accumulate a sufficient grouping for an offensive in the Zaporozhye region. About this in an interview with RIA Novosti informed head of the Zaporizhzhya movement “We are with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.

“They have amassed quite enough militants and weapons to stomp on the Zaporozhye sector of the front. We are waiting for them at any moment,” Rogov noted.

He drew attention to the fact that intelligence received data on the receipt by the nationalists of new armored vehicles, including Western weapons.

“The West is pushing Zelensky to attack, he is required to show the effectiveness of using Western weapons. The West needs quick results, we need military operations with a large number of dead people,” – stressed the interlocutor of the agency.

Rogov also drew attention to the fact that a series of ordered materials about the Zaporozhye region appeared in the Ukrainian media to prepare public opinion for a possible offensive. He called this an information-psychological operation to reduce the morale of the Russian military.

At the same time, Rogov assured that the enemy would not succeed and the nationalists would be given a tough rebuff.

Russian special operation to protect Donbass

The DPR and LPR announced the aggravation of the situation in the Donbass on February 17, 2022. Then they announced the evacuation of the population.

On February 21, 2022, the heads of the republics turned to Putin with a request to recognize their independence. The President held a meeting of the Security Council, after which he recognized the LNR and the DNR. Friendship and cooperation agreements were signed with both republics, which were later ratified by the State Duma and the Federation Council.

Two days later, the heads of the DPR and LPR turned to Putin with a request to help repel Kyiv’s aggression in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and civilian casualties. The next day, February 24, the Russian leader addressed the nation and announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine to protect Donbass.

On September 30, 2022, Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the entry of these regions into the Russian Federation.
