“No thank you”: a mural with Macron-“Hitler” appeared in France (photo)

The French president is depicted by a local artist in a black suit and mustache with “49.3” written on it.

A mural depicting French President Emmanuel Macron as Hitler has surfaced in Avignon, France. That’s why the local artist is convinced that the French leader’s article 49.3 of the Constitution allows the pension reform law to be passed without a vote in parliament. He expressed his protest against his decision to implement the article. Reported by Le Figaro.

Graphic artist Lekto depicted President Macron as Hitler with a mustache in the shape of the number 49.3 on a concrete wall. The picture says “No thanks”.

The local governor’s office reported that they had already spoken to the owner of the area and agreed to draw the drawing as soon as possible.

The artist had previously caricatured Macron as a puppet led by the Jewish economist Jacques Attali. The mural was sued for being called anti-Semitic.

Protests against pension reform, which includes raising the retirement age in France, are lingering. The majority of citizens oppose the reform, but the government has made it clear that no concessions will be made.

On January 19, more than 1 million people took to the streets in France. They protested the raising of the retirement age. Pension reform in France is one of Macron’s campaign promises. It includes increasing the retirement age from 62 to 64. It is planned to increase the minimum period for depositing employees into the pension fund to 43 years, and the minimum pension to 1,200 euros per month.
