According to the well-known vampire saga “Twilight”, which conquered many teenagers and adults back in 2008, a series will be made. The Canadian-American company Lionsgate Television is already developing it, writes The Hollywood Reporter with reference to sources.
It is noted that it is not yet known whether the series will be a remake of the books by the author of the saga, Stephenie Meyer, or whether it will become another offshoot of the franchise. Also, the platform on which the TV adaptation will be broadcast has not yet been chosen, and the filming dates have not been indicated.
At the moment, it is only known that the screenwriter will be Sinead Daly, who is known in the film world for such works as The Walking Dead: The Otherworld and Get Down. Along with this, it is expected that the author of books about vampires herself will participate in the project.
Lionsgate Television has so far declined to comment on the matter.
Earlier it was reported that Warner Bros. is in talks to film a series based on the Harry Potter universe. It is assumed that one season will be devoted to one book – that is, there should be seven of them.
