The crisis facing the US fentanyl use does not stopafter all, not only cases of overdose in humans have been recorded, but now even pets are suffering.

Such is the case with Toddles, a poodle puppy who was rescued by a protector because, like his owner, he overdosed on synthetic opioids.

According to witnesses, the person who had the dog was taking fentanyl and apparently he shared a powerful drug with his little furry friend, causing both to pass out. The events took place in the Kensington area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

It is still not known if the man gave his dog fentanyl or if the pet accidentally took it.

As with humans, after taking the medicine, Toddles responded immediately, got back on his feet, and made a satisfactory recovery. This is a puppy full of love and the desire to share it, as detailed on social media.

“After a few days, Toddles miraculously made a full recovery and became the cutest puppy in the area. Everyone loves him, but our hearts are still broken by everything he went through. The babies could have died,” the animal care organization wrote on its Facebook profile.
