Argentina’s Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez will face off in the UEFA Champions League final on June 10. One out of two players will be able to win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the European Cup in the same season, which only 10 players have managed to do in history.
Lautaro and Julian were part of the team that defeated France in Qatar in 2022. Martinez was in the starting lineup in the first meeting, but Alvarez then earned the starting position for the remainder of the tournament until the World Cup final.
Whoever emerges victorious on June 10 at the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul will complete the historic double and join the list of players who have made history.

Christian Karembe achieved this in 1998.when he was crowned with France and with Real Madrid against Juventus.
Roberto Carlos received it in 2002. He beat Bayer Leverkusen in Glasgow with Real Madrid in the Champions League final and at the World Cup in Korea and Japan with Brazil, defeating the German team.
The German Sami Khedira was part of the Champions League that Real Madrid won against Atlético de Madrid and in the World Cup for Germany in Brazil 2014 in which they beat Argentina after extra time.
Frenchman Raphael Varane was the latest player to achieve this double, beating Liverpool against Real Madrid. and 49 days later, the victory at the 2018 World Cup in Russia against Croatia with France, in which Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic could enter this legendary group.
