Known as the “killer clown,” John Wayne Gacy lured his victims into his home, handcuffed them, often on the pretext of playing a trick, and then carried out his gruesome attacks.

The boy survived the meeting with the killer thanks to a beer bottle. John Wayne Gacy, one of America’s most infamous serial killers of all time, raped, tortured and killed at least 33 young men and boys in Norwood Park, near Chicago. Tony was one of the lucky few survivors after meeting him.
Speaking to Soft White Underbelly’s Mark Laita, he said the match took place in an unnamed state park one evening while he was playing with the children of walkers. According to him, he was near the entrance when Gacy approached him, wearing a sports suit.
The man asked him several times what he could do, but although Tony had listed many activities, he was not interested in anything.
“I said you were looking for alcohol or women. Because this is a family vacation spot. And when I started leaving, I was like, ‘Would you like to have a beer with me? “She said and I agreed,” the boy remembers.
Tony said he entered Gacy’s room first and felt his hand touch his back.
“I thought it was a little weird. I thought maybe it was a mistake,” he said.
He added that he looked around the room and saw the tub filled with ice, then sat in the first chair, Gacy went to the fridge and brought him a beer, then closed the curtains.
“He walked past me and asked what I was doing. What was my family doing and then he locked the door. Then I started to feel that it was a bit weird anyway. man to man,” said Tony.
He said Gacy was worried and asked if he liked books about sex. Tony said he thought of Playboy, but was given a bag full of men-only magazines. The killer went to the bathroom and then came out with a towel around his neck. Then she locked the door of the room.
Tony said, “I thought that wasn’t true, something’s wrong, I’m in a bad situation. I’m starting to panic a bit. This is bad, I have to get out of here.”
The young man put down the beer and decided to either throw the refrigerator out the window or move it so he could get out. Gacy went to the bathroom again, but his demeanor changed and he grinned as he passed. He moved the refrigerator to the far window, and Tony caught the moment when the killer returned.
Then the teenager knocked over his bottle and asked for a new one. When Gacy followed him, Tony ran to the door and took the chain out of the door. Gacy caught him and shot him several times, but he managed to break free and escape.
According to him, he was shocked after the incident but didn’t know who he was until years later when he saw Gacy’s face on the cover of a newspaper and made the news.
Gacy, known as the “killer clown” who performed in his own image as Pogo the Clown, was sentenced to death by lethal injection on May 10, 1994 in Illinois, USA.

Gacy’s reign of terror ended in 1978 when the police investigating Robert Piest’s disappearance searched his home. They picked up a smell coming from the ground and found items that linked him to other missing persons, after which the killer confessed to his act.
