The fire damaged five cars early Wednesday morning in a parking lot in downtown Los Angeles.
Authorities do not exclude that the accident was committed intentionally.so they launched a search for the arson suspect.
The fire was reported about at 1:00 a.m. at the third level of the parking lot on the 200 block of Spring Street.
Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) teams responded to the emergency to put out the fire.but the vehicles suffered significant damage, according to a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokesman.
Information on the use of the five affected vehicles was not provided, but the parking fee was paid by Los Angeles County..
Authorities have not reported any casualties in connection with the fire.
LAPD are looking for a suspected arsonist. possibly a homeless man who was seen cycling in the area where the incident occurred.
The police checked CCTV footage that could provide important information for an investigation.
In early June, families had to evacuate their homes in the Fairfax neighborhood of Los Angeles after an alleged arson attack occurred in a parking lot and destroyed two cars.
Until now, It has not been confirmed if the two incidents could be related..
